Thrifty Trip LLC · Version 2026-10-15
Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026. This notice explains what Team Pick does with information.
Thrifty Trip LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operates Team Pick at https://teampick.app. This policy covers that website, the accounts used to sign in, and the leagues, picks, and messages connected to the service.
1. Who may use Team Pick
Team Pick is directed to people in the United States who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, email support@teampick.app and we will close it and delete the associated personal information, except for records we must keep for security, disputes, or the law.
The service is not offered where it is prohibited. We do not block every connection from outside the United States, and we do not represent that the service is lawful or available everywhere. If you choose to use it from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States.
2. Information we collect
We collect the information needed to run a private pick’em league. That includes:
- Account information. An email address you enter for a one-time sign-in link, or the email address Google provides if you choose Google sign-in. Google may also provide a name and a profile-image address. We store that image address with your profile, even though the current site does not display it. We do not use passwords.
- Profile information. A display name, which we first take from your Google name or the part of your email before the @ sign, and which you can change. Display names are limited to 40 characters.
- League information. League names, invite codes, membership, commissioner or member role, when you joined, and whether a commissioner later removed you.
- Picks and results. The team you select, when you save or change it, whether the game had locked, and the resulting standings or head-to-head record.
- Messages we send. One-time sign-in links and other authentication messages. A sign-in link expires and is meant to be used once. If you are in a league, we also email a pick reminder when a game you have not picked is about to start, and one note when that week’s games are finished. Those notes name the league and say how many picks were still open, or how many of your picks were right and wrong. They do not include another member’s picks. You can turn them off on your account page or with the unsubscribe link in the message. Turning them off does not stop sign-in messages.
- Acceptance records. The version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accept or acknowledge, and the time of that action. We do not add your IP address or browser identifier to that record.
We do not ask you to place bets, pay an entry fee, or give us a payment card. We do not collect precise location, government identifiers, or information about your health.
3. Technical logs and sports data
Our hosting, authentication, and email providers may process IP address, device and browser details, dates and times, and security logs in order to deliver the site, keep you signed in, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures. We do not install an advertising or product-analytics tracker in the app.
Schedules, scores, venues, betting lines, and injury reports come from a sports-data provider. We do not send your account information to that provider. Injury reports can include the names and availability of professional or college athletes. Those reports are about the athletes in the feed, not about Team Pick users. Betting lines are shown for context. They are not a wager, and we do not use them to build a profile of your betting activity because the service does not take bets.
We also store operational records of our own sports-data sync, such as request counts and error details. Those records are for operating the feed. They are not available to league members.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and secure your account, including sending one-time sign-in links;
- email you a pick reminder and a week result for leagues you belong to, unless you turn that off;
- show your display name, picks, and standings inside leagues you belong to;
- lock picks at the stored start time and calculate results;
- show schedules, scores, lines, and injury reports beside a matchup;
- remember which policy versions you have accepted;
- respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests;
- investigate abuse, protect the service, and comply with law; and
- understand outages and fix the product.
We do not use your information to decide eligibility for credit, insurance, housing, or employment. We do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Who can see league information
Your email address is used to sign you in. Other people in a league see your display name, not your email address. A Google profile image stored on your account is not shown to league members in the current product.
Before a game’s stored start time, your pick for that game is visible to you. After that time, members of the same league can see it. Commissioners do not get an earlier view through the product. A commissioner can rename the league, replace its invite code, archive it, and remove a member. Removing a member hides that person from active play. Picks already locked can remain part of the league record.
Anyone who has a current invite code can try to join that league after signing in. Treat invite codes like passwords and share them only with people you want in the league.
7. Service providers and other disclosures
We disclose information to companies that process it for us:
- Supabase provides authentication, the database, session cookies, and authentication email.
- Google provides Google sign-in when you choose it. Google’s own policy covers Google’s collection on its sign-in screens.
- Vercel hosts the website and may process technical request data to deliver and protect it.
- API-Sports supplies schedules, scores, betting lines, and injury reports. We do not send API-Sports your name, email, or picks.
- An email-delivery vendor used by our authentication provider may process the recipient address and the contents of an authentication message.
- Resend delivers pick reminders and week results when those emails are on. It receives the recipient address, the league name, and that week’s pick count for you. It does not receive another member’s picks.
We may also disclose information:
- if we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a lawful request;
- to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or us;
- to enforce the Terms, investigate abuse, or respond to a claim; and
- in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of Thrifty Trip LLC or its business, in which case the recipient will be asked to honor this policy for existing information.
8. No sale or targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not allow third parties to use it for their own independent marketing. Disclosures to the service providers above are for operating Team Pick.
If a state law treats a disclosure as a “sale” or “share” even without money changing hands, contact support@teampick.app and we will honor an opt-out where that law applies. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18.
9. How long we keep information
We keep account, league, and pick information while the account or league needs it. An archived league can remain stored so its members can see the record. Sports-feed and sync logs are kept while they are useful for operating and debugging the service.
If you delete your account on the Account page, we delete or de-identify your personal information right away. If you email us to delete the account instead, we will do the same within 30 days. We may keep a limited record where we need it for security, fraud prevention, a dispute, a legal obligation, or an ordinary backup cycle. Backups are overwritten in the normal course. League results that no longer identify you may remain so the league’s history still makes sense.
10. Your requests and state privacy rights
Email support@teampick.app to access or correct personal information, to ask for a portable copy, to delete an account, or to appeal a decision we make about a request. Use the subject line “Privacy request” or “Privacy appeal.” We will respond within 30 days. If a state law allows a longer period, we will tell you why we need it before that longer period starts.
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, to obtain a portable copy, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to appeal. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows, and we may ask for proof that the agent is authorized and that you are the person the request concerns. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Team Pick does not offer a different price or quality based on privacy choices.
A signed-in user can close an account with Delete account on the Account page. Leagues you run pass to the member who joined next. A league where you are the only remaining member is deleted. Past results stay under the name “Former player.” You can also email support@teampick.app with the subject “Delete my account.” Signing out does not delete the account.
11. Security
We use access controls so league data is not published to the open web, and the database enforces who can read a pick and when a pick locks. Traffic to the site is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Please use an email account only you can open, and do not forward sign-in links.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post changes on this page and change the version and effective date. If a change requires a new acknowledgment, signed-in features will wait until you acknowledge the current policy. The earlier acknowledgment remains in our records. Continuing to read public pages does not, by itself, accept a new version.
