Thrifty Trip LLC · Version 2026-10-15
Terms of Service
Effective October 15, 2026. Please read these terms, especially the dispute section below.
These Terms are a contract between you and Thrifty Trip LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”), for Team Pick at https://teampick.app. By creating an account, checking “I agree to the Terms,” or using a signed-in feature, you agree to this version. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who may use Team Pick
You must be at least 18 years old. You must be able to form a binding contract. Team Pick is directed to users in the United States. You may use it only if doing so is legal where you are. We do not promise that the service is appropriate or available outside the United States, and we may refuse or close access that we believe is unlawful.
You represent that the information you use to sign in is yours or that you have permission to use it, and that you are not barred from using the service under applicable law.
2. A recreational service, not a sportsbook
Team Pick lets friends pick the winners of NFL, NCAA football, and NBA games in private leagues. It is for bragging rights. There are no entry fees, prizes, or payouts. We do not accept wagers, hold customer funds, or operate a gambling service.
You may see a point spread, moneyline, or other line next to a football game. That information comes from a third party and is context only. It is not an offer to bet, a recommendation, or our prediction. You will not use Team Pick to place, solicit, record, or manage real-money bets or pools. We may suspend an account or league that does.
3. Accounts
You sign in with a one-time email link or with Google. There is no password. A sign-in link is for you, expires quickly, and should not be forwarded. You are responsible for activity that happens through your email or Google account, and for telling us at support@teampick.app if you think someone else is using it.
Your display name is what league members see. It must be 1 to 40 characters. You will not use a name that impersonates another person, hides that you are a person, or is unlawful, hateful, or sexually exploitative. We may rename or close an account that breaks this rule. League names must be 1 to 80 characters and follow the same standard.
Before you use signed-in features, you must agree to the current Terms and acknowledge the current Privacy Policy. We store the version and the time. We do not store your IP address as part of that record. If you do not agree to a later version, signed-in features stay unavailable. You may then stop using the service and ask us to delete the account.
4. Leagues, invites, and commissioners
Leagues are private. A commissioner creates a league and shares an invite code. Anyone with a current code can ask to join after signing in, so share a code only with the people you want. A commissioner may rename the league, replace the invite code, remove a member, and archive the league. Archiving stops new play. Removal hides a member from active competition.
A commissioner is another user, not our employee or agent. Disagreements about who should be in a league, what a display name means, or how friends keep score are between those users. We are not required to referee them. We may refuse a league or a member when we believe the service is being abused.
5. Picks, locks, and scoring
You pick one team to win a game. The server locks that pick at the game’s stored start time. The clock on your phone does not control the lock. After the lock, members of the league can see the pick. Before the lock, it is visible to you.
We score games from the results we store. A tie or a cancellation is not a correct pick. Head-to-head and season-record leagues use the scoring rules shown in the product. A late joiner is not written into a week whose games have already started. If a feed is late or wrong, standings can be late or wrong too. We may correct a stored result, and that correction can change a record.
Do not try to change a locked pick, reveal another member’s open pick, or interfere with the sync that loads schedules and scores. The database rules are the authority if they disagree with what a screen showed.
6. Acceptable use
You will not:
- break the law, or help someone else break it, through the service;
- use the service for wagering, paid pools, or any prize of value;
- probe, scrape, overload, or bypass access controls, pick privacy, or rate limits;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt hosting, authentication, or the sports feed;
- harvest email addresses or other account data;
- misrepresent who you are or who operates a league; or
- use the service if you are under 18 or if we have suspended you.
We may investigate a suspected violation and cooperate with a lawful request. We may remove a display name, league, or account, with or without notice, when we believe it is reasonably necessary.
7. Sports data, odds, and trademarks
Schedules, scores, venues, betting lines, and injury reports are supplied by third parties, currently including API-Sports. They can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. We do not guarantee coverage of every game, bookmaker, or injury.
NFL, NCAA, NBA, team names, and league and team marks belong to their owners. Team Pick is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those organizations or by any team, university, or sportsbook. Names and colors are used so you can identify a game.
8. Our intellectual property
The Team Pick name, the site, and the software are owned by Thrifty Trip LLC or its licensors. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service while these Terms are in effect and your account is in good standing. You do not receive any other right in the service.
You keep your display name and league name. You give us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and store that text, and your picks, as needed to operate the leagues you join. That license ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backups and league history that no longer needs to identify you.
9. Suspension and ending access
You may stop using Team Pick at any time. Delete account on the Account page closes the account. Leagues you run pass to the member who joined next. A league where you are the only remaining member is deleted. Past results stay under the name “Former player.” You can also email support@teampick.app with the subject “Delete my account,” from the email on the account or with enough detail for us to identify it. We delete or de-identify personal information as the Privacy Policy describes. Signing out does not delete the account.
We may suspend or close an account, or discontinue a feature or the whole service, if you breach these Terms, if we need to for security or legal compliance, or if we stop offering Team Pick. A commissioner may remove you from one league without closing your account. If we close the service, we will make a reasonable effort to say so on the site or by email.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service, a schedule, a score, a betting line, an injury report, a lock time, or a standing will be accurate, complete, timely, secure, or uninterrupted. Sports data can change after you have made a pick. League disputes between users are not our responsibility.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Thrifty Trip LLC and its members, employees, agents, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or league standings, whether the claim is in contract, tort, or anything else, and whether or not we were told the loss was possible.
Our total liability for all claims arising out of the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for the service during that period. The service is free, so the limit will ordinarily be $100.
Some places do not allow certain disclaimers or limits. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct where a law does not permit that limit.
12. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Thrifty Trip LLC and its members, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your account, your display name or league name, your picks, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or a dispute between you and another user. This duty does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
13. Disputes, arbitration, and class actions
Please read this section carefully. It requires individual arbitration and waives class and jury actions, except for the small-claims and opt-out rights below. It limits how disputes with us can be resolved.
Informal notice first. Before starting arbitration or a lawsuit, the complaining party will email a notice that describes the dispute and the relief sought. Send yours to support@teampick.app with the subject “Dispute notice.” We will send ours to the email on your account. The sender must wait 30 days after sending the notice before filing, unless waiting would let a limitation period expire or the party is seeking temporary injunctive relief against misuse of the service.
Individual arbitration. Except for a qualifying small-claims case, or if you opt out as described below, you and Thrifty Trip LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or Team Pick will be resolved by binding individual arbitration. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this arbitration agreement. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You may find those rules at www.adr.org. If the AAA will not administer the arbitration, the parties will agree on another established provider, or a court may appoint one.
The arbitration will be before one arbitrator. It may be conducted by telephone, video, or written submissions. If the arbitrator decides an in-person hearing is required, it will take place in Texas, or in another location the arbitrator finds reasonably convenient. The arbitrator may award any individual relief a court could award, including individual injunctive relief, but may not preside over a class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator’s decision is final, except for the limited review courts provide under the Federal Arbitration Act.
Fees. The AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules decide the filing, administrative, and arbitrator fees. We will pay the fees those rules require us to pay. We will not seek our arbitration fees or costs from you unless the arbitrator finds that your claim was frivolous or brought for an improper purpose.
Small claims. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court instead of arbitration if the claim qualifies and remains in that court.
No class or representative actions. You and we waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, coordinated, or representative action, whether in arbitration or in court, to the fullest extent the law allows. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims. If a court finds this waiver unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim proceeds in court and the rest of this arbitration agreement still applies to individual claims.
Jury waiver. To the fullest extent the law allows, you and we waive a trial by jury.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Email support@teampick.app with the subject “Arbitration opt-out,” the name and email address on the account, and a clear statement that you opt out. Opting out does not cancel the rest of these Terms. If you opt out, or if a court finds this arbitration agreement unenforceable as to a claim, that claim may be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas. Both of us consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. The class-action waiver still applies in court to the fullest extent the law allows.
This dispute section survives the end of your account or of these Terms. If you accepted an earlier version and opted out, that opt-out continues to apply unless a later version expressly requires a new opt-out.
14. Texas law and the rest of the contract
Texas law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about Team Pick. They replace earlier oral or written statements about the service. If a provision other than the dispute section is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
We may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganization, financing, or sale of the business. You may not assign your account or these Terms without our consent. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. There are no third-party beneficiaries, except that the people covered by the indemnity and the liability limit may enforce those protections.
15. Changes
We may change the service, these Terms, or the Privacy Policy. A new Terms version gets a new version identifier and effective date on this page. Material changes that require acceptance will also stop signed-in use until you accept the new Terms and acknowledge the current Privacy Policy. Reading the public pages, or keeping an old session open, is not a substitute for that acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the service and ask us to delete your account.
